State Government appointed the First Vice-Chancellor of the Bikaner Technical University

Located in the city of Bikaner, Bikaner Technical University based in the campus of the Government Engineering College Bikaner and College of Engineering & Technology, Bikaner. The university is located in the Karni Industrial area of the Bikaner, which is about 400 km from the New Delhi. One of the main purposes of the University was to share the work load with the Rajasthan Technical University, which is located in Kota. Initially, the aim of the BTU was to handle the load of the technical institutes in the 12 districts of the western Rajasthan along with introducing the new courses and research programs which are of importance to the region. After the appointment of the Registrar ML Chauhan in Bikaner Technical University, the Governor of Rajasthan, Kalyan Singh appointed the first Vice- Chancellor, Dr HD Charan, of the Bikaner Technical University for a period of three years. Currently, Dr. HD Charan is Dean of Academics and Professor at the Rajasthan Technical University with M.Tech and Ph.D. as qualifications. Under the guidance of Dr. HD Charan, the BTU will be responsible for the proper working and functionality of the 36 different engineering colleges in the regions of Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur (Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Alwar) and Ajmer. Of total 36 colleges, 4 colleges are state engineering colleges and the rest 32 are private engineering colleges. For the proper functioning and infrastructure establishment of the BTU, the state government has sanctioned the initial expenditure of INR 30 crores along with the annual expenditure of the 3 crores. With the establishment of the BTU, the technical students from the rural areas will now have the equal opportunity to study and research.

WBBSE Madhyamik 2018 results to be announced soon

It is expected that West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) will release the results of the Madhyamik examinations by the end of th May. As reported by the Indianexpress, the official said “the results of Madhyamik examinations is expected to release on the last week of May, probably after May 27. As the examinations were completed late this year, March 21, the board is likely to release the results on the last week of May,” an official said. “The evaluation process of the answer sheets are on, and the teachers are expected to submit the paper within the first week of May.” Once the results are declared, candidates can visit any one of the below mentioned websites to check their results: wbbse.orgwb.allresults.nic.in Apart from the above mentioned website can can also visit any one of the following website to check their results: examresults.netindiaresults.com This year, the Madhyamik examination was held between March 12 to March 21, and approximately 11,02,921 candidates had appeared for the examinations, a sharp increase from the last year which was 10,71,846. The number of girls appeared is higher than the boys. The number of girls appeared was 6,21,266 and the number of boys appeared was 4,81,555. The examination was conducted in 2,819 centers across the state.

Sikkim soon to achieve 100 percent literacy rate

Sikkim Chief Minister, Pawan Kumar Chamling,said that Sikkim is on its way to achieve 100 percent literacy rate. While addressing a public meeting during his 32 day tour of the state he said that his government has given top priority to the education and ensured that students from poor background get access to the quality education. “Sikkim is steadily moving towards being a 100 per cent literate state,” Chamling said. Chamling said that in the past two years alone his government has set up 26 colleges and seven universities to provide quality education to the students. “We are also coming up with our own state university,” Chamling said. “The purpose of education should be to become good human beings for which the students must change their mindset,” he added.

NEET 2018 exam: Admit cards available for download

CBSE has released the admit cards for the NEET 2018 exam. Candidates who had registered for the exam can visit the official website-- cbseneet.nic.in and download their admit card. The exam is scheduled on May 6, 2018. This year, a more than 11 lakh aspirants have registered for the exam. NEET 2018 will be held in Hindi, English, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. In any case, admit cards will not be sent by the CBSE via post and candidates have to download their admit cards by visiting the official website. UP Board class 10 and 12 results likely to declared next week

It is expected that the Uttar Pradesh Board will declare the results of the class 10 and 12 exams next week. Once declared, the candidates can visit the official website-- upresults.nic.in or upmspresults.up.nic.in to check their results. Earlier, there were rumors that the results will be declared by April 15, 2018. Class 10 exams were conducted from February 6 to 22 and class 12 exams were conducted from February 6 to March 10. Students, apart from the above mentioned sites, will also be able to check their results from private websites such as examresults.net and indiaresults.com. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma told PTI that the results will be announced by this month’s end. Earlier, Sharma had said, “We are happy that it was a copying-free examination and the answer sheets have been evaluated on time. We will declare the results of UP Board examinations for class 10 and class 12 in April. The new academic session will start on April 16, and by July the new education calendar will be issued”.
