Admit cards for JEE Mains 2018 to be released soon

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the admit cards for the JEE mains soon. Once released candidates will be able to download the same from the official website for the JEE mains-- jeemain.nic.in.JEE Mains is conducted by the CBSE on annual basis to determine the eligibility of the students for admission to the various technical institutions across the country.JEE advanced, however, is conducted by a different IIT every year.The offline version of the JEE Mains exam is scheduled for April 8, 2018 and online version of the same exam is scheduled for April 15 and April 16, 2018.To be eligible for JEE Mains, a candidate needs to have at least 75 percent in the class 12 board exams or a place among top 20 percentile of the boards.The criterion for the SC, ST students has been lowered to 65 percent.Exam patternThe duration of the Mains exam is three hours and questions from mathematics, physics and chemistry are asked in the exam. The questions are based on the syllabus class 11 and class 12 by the CBSE. Each subject has 30 questions and for each correct answer students are given 4 marks and for the negative answer they are awarded negative 1 marks.
