Registration date for the NEET 2018 extended till March 12



NEET 2018 is scheduled to be held on May 6, 2018 and according to the latest development regarding the registration process of NEET 2018, candidates can now register till March 12, 2018 and Aadhaar card is no longer mandatory for the registrations.'The decision comes after the Supreme Court's order that accepted the Centre's contention that students may be allowed to deposit other relevant ID'.Candidates who do not have Aadhaar cards can now use alternative identification number such as ration card, passport, bank account number or other valid government ID (such as driving license, voter ID etc.) while submitting the application form. Since the registrations for the exam had started several changes in the eligibility criteria of the exam have been introduced by the exam conducting authority, CBSE which includes which also include allowing the students from NIOS and other open schools to apply for the medical entrance exam. Delhi High Court has also issued a stayed order on the CBSE's notification on upper age limit and other criteria for the appearing in the NEET exam.A petition regarding the same was filed by the two aspirants from the Kerela in which they challenged the decision of the MCI to set the upper age limit from 25 years 30 years for the candidates from reserved and disabled category.This year, the NEET exam will be conducted in Hindi, English, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada languages.
