CBSE released the dates for the NET exam
Central Board of Secondary Education has finally released the dates for the National Eligibility Test (NET) on its official website www.cbsenet.nic.in. As mentioned in the notification, the exam for the Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Assistant Professor will be held by the board on 19 November, 2017. A detailed notification regarding the same will be released by the board on July 24.Registration DatesThe registration for the exam will begin on August 1 and will continue till August 30.CBSE is in charge of conducting the NET exam on behalf of UGC whose purpose is to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for the post of Assistant professors or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian Universities and colleges. In the past the exam used to be conducted twice a year in months of June and December but from the past one year it being conducted in the months of July and January.No PhD without NETIn its recent set of draft regulations UGC made it quite clear that getting admissions into PhD will be quite difficult from now own as Category III institutes will only be able to enroll those students for the PhD who have qualified NET or SLET or SET examinations.
