Study Abroad: Undergraduate Admission requirements for the Cambridge University for Indian Students
Cambridge University is not only the oldest university in the England but is also the dream destination of many Indian students. The University was founded in 1209 and since then has been the center of excellence for studies in various fields. The application process for the international students starts around July so, students who are wishing to attend Cambridge University for the class of 2018 this is the right time to gather as much information as they can.Timeline and Application processStudents who wish to study at Cambridge University will require submitting the application to the UCAS (the Universities and Colleges Admission Service) and in addition to this they need to submit a separate online for Cambridge which is Cambridge Online Preliminary Application (COPA).While submitting the UCAS and COPA, students must make sure that choice of colleges on each application matches exactly the same.COPA will began in July this year and will continue till October, 2017 and UCAS application will start in the first week of September and will end on October 15, 2017.After submitting the UCAS application, candidates will receive an email which will direct them to submit the Supplementary Application Questionnaire (SAQ) by a specific deadline. This is a compulsory step and candidates can do this by logging into the system by using the COPA reference number generated by the University.Eligibility requirementsThe University will consider the applications of students from CBSE and ISC class 12th examinations solely for the UG courses in the field of Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, and Natural Science. To be shortlisted for the interview candidates are required to have 9.8 CGPAEnglish language requirementsFor non-native English speakers, to study in UK, it is essential to pass one of the prescribed English language tests and they are:IELTS: A minimum overall grade of 7.5, with 7.0 or above in each element Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) - grade A or B. Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) - grade A, B or C.
