QS world universities ranking 2018 released
World University Rankings 2018, by the British company 'the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)' has been released giving India more than one reasons to rejoice. This time, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Bombay, IIT-Delhi and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru successfully made it to the top 200 global universities for the first time.Not only this, but also Delhi University made it to the top 500 group.Improvement in the rankings IISC Banglore moved from 190 to 152.IIT Delhi moved from 172 to 185IIT Bombay made a huge leap from 219 to 179 this year. Globally, 26000 universities were surveyed by the QS. "The improved ranking is a reflection of the continuous improvement of the quality of education and research at IIT-B," remarked IIT-B Director Devang Khakhar on the achievement. According to the reports, this year a total of 20 institutions made it to the world's top 959 universities. About QR The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) WUR is a British Agency, which compares and ranks Higher Education Institutes of the world. The comparison by the university is done on the basis of six performance parameters from the sectors such as Research, Teaching, Employability and Internationalization.
