CBSE told High Court that it will re-evaluate the answer sheets

On Friday, Central Board of Secondary Education told the High Court that it will re-evaluate the sheets of the students who are asking for it.Additional Solicitor General Sanjay Jain assured the vacation bench of Justice Manmohan and Justice Yogesh Khanna, who are hearing the petitions filed by the students of Class 12, who appeared for the board exams. "...if any of the petitioners were to apply to CBSE with a grievance that a particular answer sheet has not been evaluated as per the concerned marking scheme circulated to the head examiner in respect of major subjects, whereupon CBSE will scrutinize such answer sheets and take appropriate remedial action, if required," he said. Jain further said that the concerned marking scheme will be uploaded on the CBSE's official website within two working days.He further told court that all these requests will be handled on the first come and first serve basis and students who have requested for the re-verification will be examined on the priority basis.Kriti Uppal, who is advocate for some of these students, challenged the CBSE's May 29 notification in which CBSE had scrapped it re-evaluation policy and asked the court to to direct CBSE to reconsider its policy.
