In a notice, CBSE threatens to disaffiliate the Ryan International School

Following the heat of the student's murder in the Ryan International School, CBSE has issued a show cause notice to the Ryan International School's Bhondsi branch, in which it asked the school branch to explain why its affiliation should not be revoked. According to the sources, the CBSE's decision to issue a show cause notice to the school is based on the findings of two-member fact finding committee which issued its report on the Friday. According to the affiliation bye-laws of the CBSE, the deadline for responding to the show cause notice cannot exceed more than a month.According to the reports from the Indian Express, the fact finding committee found several violations of the safety guidelines issued by the board. The Panel objected that the bus drivers and conductors had the access to the toilets which were meant to be used by students. A breach in the school wall was also highlighted in the report and committee observed it as a threat to the children safety. Numbers of CCTV cameras installed inside the school premises are insufficient in number and most of them are not working, the report pointed out.The panel also observed that out of five floors in the school only three floors were being used for the teaching purpose yet students have access to the unused floors and terrace of the school buildings as they were not locked.The committee also found that the electricity room in the premises was not locked and is a threat to the safety of the students studying in the school.  Further, the committee did not find any special ramps and toilets for the differently able children in the school.The committee was set up by the CBSE on September 8 as parents were protesting against the school and were demanding the action against the school management for neglecting the safety of the children studying in the school.
