Seven day deadline to report the errors in the exams conducted by UPSC
In order to submit the mistakes or discrepancies in the questions of the exams conducted by the UPSC, the candidates will have an open window of seven days to submit the representations and all such representations must be submitted in online mode only.“For each examination, a time frame of 7 days (a week) i.e. from the next day of the examination date to 6 PM of the seventh day is fixed for the candidates to make representations to the Commission on the questions asked in the papers of that examination,” the UPSC said in a notice. The commission conducts several exams during the year in which thousands of candidates appear including the civil service exams to recruit candidates for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) or the Indian Police Service (IPS). The commission said that if the exam is conducted on March 1 then candidates will be able to submit their representations till March 8, 6 pm and any submission via post or hand will be considered as null.“No representation will be entertained under any circumstances after this window of seven days is over,” the commission said. According to an official, "this is likely the first time that the UPSC has fixed a deadline in order for candidates to submit representations."
