Top education officials of Punjab government stressed on computer aided learning

In an attempt to improve the results of the government schools especially in English, mathematics and science subjects, Director General School Education (DGSE), Punjab, has instructed the education officials to ensure that teaching is done with the help of computer in elementary schools in order to make teaching and learning more effective and result oriented.A letter from the top education officials of Punjab has been sent to the District Education Officers (DEOs) and heads of elementary schools which has asked them to inculcate the interests of students in subjects like English, math and science.“We have been getting very poor results in 10th class for the past several years due to poor performance of the students in these subjects. If basics can be made strong in middle classes, the results in the high schools will definitely improve,” said a senior official in DGSE office.
