Parents workshop to be launched by the Delhi Government



Parents' workshop has been launched by the government in an attempt to make the participation of the parents more active in their child's education. Earlier, the government has planned to launch the workshops in 50 different schools but as of now they have been launch only in 10 government schools. The workshop is aimed for the parents of students studying in class 10th and 12th and will enable the parents to involve in the school's managing committee. The main objective of the workshops is to improve the results of the government schools run by the government of Delhi.Earlier this month, Manish Sisodia also had a meeting with the Education, Health and Environment Departments regarding the severe condition of the smog in the capital city. The quality of air in the national capital was declared severe by the Pollution Control Board (PCB).The severe quality of the air was not only harmful for the people suffering from respiratory or cardiovascular disease but was equally dangerous for the healthy people. Due to the impact of the smog, the schools in the city remained closed till November 12.Due to heavy smog condition, the Children's Day celebration-- 'Dilli for children festival'-- in the capital was also postponed to November 19.Addressing the media, Mr. Sisodia said ""Dilli for Children Festival" would be organized at over 100 locations across the city on November 14. The festival will feature sports, arts and cultural programs and activities, in which children can participate".
