Anand Kumar is a renowned mathematician and founder of Super 30. He caught the attention of Media when his students, most from the underprivileged section, began to clear the JEE exam. Now, Anand Kumar is not just a name that only few people know but entire nation is applauding the efforts of the Kumar. With gaze of the nation fixed on Anand Kumar he eventually caught the attention of the Bollywood, which is now planning to make a biopic on the Indian mathematician. In the movie, the role of the Anand Kumar will be played by Hrithik Roshan.Below are the five things which you need to know about Anand Kumar: Anand Kumar coms from a modest background and his father was a clerk in Bihar post office. Kumar studies from a government school in Hindi Medium and according to the reports, his love for the numbers made him submit the papers on Number theory which were published in UK’s Mathematical Spectrum and The Mathematical Gazette.Kumar was preparing to go for higher studies at the Cambridge University but his passed away and to earn living his mother made papad and Kumar helped her.On a suggestion from well-wisher Kumar started teaching students in a tin shed and later shifted and started Ramanujam School of Mathematics. In 2002, he formed a separate school- Super 30 of bright students from low income families. Students in the school were provided with lodging, food and other facilities. Success rate increases every year which brought Anand into limelight.Biju Mathew, Canada-based psychiatrist, has written a biography on Kumar's hardships.In 2012, people magazine carried a feature on Anand Kumar and hailed him as people's hero. Discovery channel also made an hour long documentary on Kumar and Super 30.This children's day he was conferred with the Rashtriya Bal Kalyan Award by President Shri Ramnath Kovind.
