Second day of 'Soch' fest at PU started with an open-mic event



On its second day, the Soch fest-- organized by the mass communication department of Panjab University-- commenced with an open-mic event in which students presented their views on various issues faced by the women. The theme of the open-mic event was “Gehri soch, baat barabiri ki hai”. After the open-mic event various creative activities were organized to test the knowledge and qualities of the upcoming journalists. 'Spin a story' was a creative story telling in competition in which participants have to tell a story based on the given few pictures. In the event Arshdeep Kaur of GGDSD College came first and the event was judged by Kamalpreet Kaur, Balpreet Kaur and Ravitaj. A Grafitti competition was also held by the department in which walls were decorated and crafted with the creative and beautiful ideas. The judges of the event were Dr Jagtej Grewal, Tirthankar Bhattacharya and Sawan and the first position in the event was held by  Ishita Sarkar of PGGCG Sector 11 college.Another popular event in the fest was Ad-Mad where participants have to develop the sales pitch and the best sales pitch won the prize. The Judges of this event were Sneh Popli, Preeti Gambhir and Narvijay Yadav and first prize was won by the team from Doaba College.
