IIT-KGP to develop health informatics course in collaboration with the University of Manchester



In order to develop a course for working professionals on health informatics, IIT KGP has entered into collaboration with the University of Manchester (UoM). To promote the academic collaborations, IIT-KGP had already signed a MoU with the University of Manchester (UoM) in June, this year. “The two sides would work towards developing a course for working professionals in the domain of health informatics,” an IITKGP spokesperson said. A team of eight professors and administrators from UoM also visited the IIT-KGP where they discussed about the joint research, technology projects and international academic programs. The team from MoU was led by the Stephen Flint, their Associate Vice President.Siddhartha Mukhopadhyay, IITKGP Alumni Affairs and International Relations dean said ' the enhanced exchanges will not only help in developing research programs which have a global impact, they will also offer students to world-class training programs and opportunities for international masters and PhD programs.'
