Due to smog, school in Gurgaon to close again

Schools across Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad will open again on Monday despite the fact that pollution in air is still at hazardous level. Gurgaon, on the other hand declared that the school will remain close on Monday.On Sunday, AQI in Delhi was 460 which went up in comparison to Saturday (403). A spokesperson from Delhi government said "There is no order for schools to be closed on Monday. But we will be evaluating the situation at each step." In Ghaziabad and Noida, AQI was 498 and 4992 respectively and district administration announced that the schools will open on Monday but with riders.Ghaziabad district magistrate, Ritu Maheshwari, said schools “will reopen at 9 am on Monday as opposed to the earlier hour to ensure children aren't exposed to high levels of pollution”. Noida district magistrate B N Singh said, “Schools are open on Monday, but principals have been called for a meeting, following which a decision will be taken for future dates. Concerns have been raised by schools about how studies are being affected. If not closure, we might alter timings of the schools.”In Gurgaon, where the AQI is 460, Deputy Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh said: “All government and private schools are to be closed on November 13 due to continuing smog situation in last 48 hours…” However, some schools decided to remain closed. Shashi Banerjee, Principal of Shiv Nadar School, Noida, wrote to parents on Sunday and said, “… In view of the prevailing situation, the management has decided to shut the school on November 13 and 14.”In Delhi, private school said that they will open on Monday.
