IIM Rohtak is in-charge if Common Admission Process for nine IIMs

For academic season 2018-20, IIM-Rohtak in in-charge of conducting the admission process into the nine IIMs of the nation.Of the thirteen new IIMs, nine have come on board to participate in the Common Admission Process (CAP) 2018, which will be conducted by IIM Rohtak and the participating IIMs are IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur.For the second year in a row, IIM-Rohtak has been entrusted with the important responsibility of conducting CAP on behalf of nine IIMs. The process will begin after the declaration of the CAT 2017 results. CAP selects the candidates on the basis of CAT percentile and conducting Written Ability Test (WAT), and Personal Interview (PI). In WAT, candidates are tested for their writing skills by experts and after that they have to appear for the Personal Interview before a panel.The process for WAT and PI will commence in mid-February and will continue till early March."The exact dates of WAT and PI will be put in public domain after the CAT results are out," said an IIM Rohtak official.Last year, 2.3 lakh candidates appeared for the CAT of which only 3250 were selected for various IIMs.The CAP 2018 will be conducted by IIM Rohtak in all the major cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
