Telengana bandh: Exams of Osmania University postponed
The exams of the Osmania University and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University which were to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday have been postponed due to bandh call given by the several student organizations.According to the reports from local dailies, in a press release, Osmania university said ' the examinations in the campus, constituent and affiliated and autonomous colleges of Osmania University scheduled on December 5 and 6 are postponed. The rescheduled dates will be announced soon.' It further said that the process of certificate verification for the admissions in the M.Ed. courses has also been postponed by the administration of University and the new dates for the same will be notified by the SMS and on the website of the university. The JNUT also re-scheduled its examinations which were to be held from Tuesday. However, the exam from December 6 onwards will be conducted according to the schedule.A PG student of Osmania University committed suicide in the Campus on Saturday night. According to the students and members of political parties unemployment is the reason for his suicidal actions and other attributed the death to depression and pressure of exams.
