JEE main application process to commence from today

The online application process for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) will commence from Friday, December 1, 2017. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam can apply for the same through the official website of the exam-- jeemain.nic.in.The exams are scheduled to be held in the month of April in 2018. The pen-paper (offline) mode exam will be held on April 8, 2018 and computer based exam is scheduled for April 15 and April 16, 2018. The last to apply for the exam is January 1, 2018. From this year, the entire application process is online and no hard copies of the form will be accepted by the exam authority. The exam fee ranges from INR 1000 for general category boys to INR 250 for reserved category girls. To be eligible for the exam minimum 75 percent in class 12 or place among the top 20 percentile of the respective is required. For the SC and ST candidates minimum of 65 percent is required.After clearing the JEE mains and advanced the candidates will be eligible for admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) courses at Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) across the nation.
