Bhagavad Gita to be taught in the schools, soon
In an attempt to teach school children more on the Hindu tradition and philosophy, a bill has been placed in Lok Sabha, in order to provide compulsory education to children on Bhagavad Gita, a 700 verse long scripture, which is a part of Hindu epic called Mahabharata. According to the reports, Bhagavad Gita will be compulsory moral education subject in the schools. More on the report According to the reports, the private bill on the matter was moved by the BJP member Ramesh Bidhuri.This bill was among the 103 private members bills, which were introduced in Lok Sabha on Friday. Other bills in Lok Sabha BJP member Maheish Girri: He introduced the Maintenance of Cleanliness bill, 2016, which provides prohibition on littering, spitting and urinating in public places in order to maintain the hygienic and healthy atmosphere in and around such places.Nishikant Dubey: He also introduced a private bill which aims at the overall development of the youth in the country, was introduced in the Lok Sabha. Ranjeet Rajan of the Congress moved a bill which aims for the simple duly performed marriages by prohibiting the extravagant and wasteful expenditure on the marriages.
