HCL is adding a little twist in the placement process, as it is hiring the kids directly after class 12, straight out of the school. According to the reports, other companies who offer placement after the college education, HCL is now hiring the students straight out of the school after the class 12. The company will train them to be the IT professionals who in turn will work for the company. Speaking about this new change the Vice-President of HCL technologies said " The program aims to provide opportunities to bright students who do not have access to the right jobs. This will also help the company to create a dedicated workforce. We are looking at on-boarding young minds." Details of the recruitment process According to the reports HCL will hire 200 students after class 12 and will train them for a year. The training will begin from April and after that all candidates will be given entry level software jobs. How students can apply: Students need to have minimum 85 percent in the class 12 board exam and for the CBSE students this percentage is 80 percent. What the students will learn In their early months of training, students will be given teaching in combination of basic engineering courses which will include: Application developmentSoftware testingApplication supportInfrastructure management services In the last three months 100 students will be send to the Lucknow and Madurai training centers for on-the-job training purposes. Salary offered Once students have completed the program successfully they will be paid a salary of INR 1.8 lakh per annum.
