HRD Minister Javadekar: Indian Education Institutes should focus on research for the growth of the country
Speaking through video conference on the occasion of convocation of a private management institute, Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar motivated Indian Education institutes to focus more on the research in order to become the part of India's growth story. "India needs expertise in all sectors to manage the economy. We need to realize that in order to be part of growth story of India, education institute need to focus on research," he said. On the growth of Indian Economy Javadekar further added "As the economy grows, we need good leaders and better managers from our educational institute. Management institutes will provide training to the students to manage the economy of India." On the occasion Javadekar also interacted with the students of the institution and discussed with them the various problems faced by the Indian Economy. He also discussed about the various skill building and employment generating projects which are undertaken by the center. Ved Prakash, UGC chairperson, was the guest of honor for the convocation and said "Institutes of learning are the most enduring organizations in the world and they have taken the society to the next stage of development." During the question-answer hour the HRD minister said that 10,000 vacant posts in Kendriya Vidyalayas will be filled by the government this year.
