CBSE board exams to begin tomorrow
As the CBSE board exams begin tomorrow, lakhs of students would face what can be the most nervous day of their lives. As per the data furnished by the board, as many as 10,98,891 class 12th and 8,86,506 class 10th students would write their board exam tomorrow. These numbers were taken from an official press release given by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). For class 10th, as compared to 15,309 schools that registered with the CBSE for the board exams last year, 16,363 schools registered with the board this year. In class 12th, the number of schools registering last year was 10,678. This year, this number has increased by 557. Most class 10th students have registered from the city of Chennai (1,54,401) while Delhi tops the list in class 12th with 2,58,321 registering for the CBSE board exam. The largest number of centres in one single city would be set up in Panchkula. As per the CBSE, "It has made all possible efforts to maintain reasonable time gap between the major papers and also ensured that the students appearing for Joint Engineering Exam and upcoming National Eligibility cum Entrance Test complete the CBSE examinations ahead of these entrance exams."
