After the girl who went to give NEET exam in Kannur district of Kerala alleged that she had to remove her innerwear before sitting in the exam, the Kerala State Human Rights Commission (KSHRC) on Monday approached the National Human Rights Commission to intervene in the matter and take appropriate action against the officials responsible. KSHRC acting chairman P. Mohandas asked the Kannur district police chief and Regional Director of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to submit their report within three weeks. The parents of the child have also decided to file the complaint regarding the same with CBSE in Delhi. Former Congress President V.M. Sudheeran said "the responsibility now lies with the KSHRC and the NHRC to initiate immediate action against the wrong-doers whose inhuman act has affected the young minds of the girls who had to go through this ordeal". The shameful incident occurred on Sunday at NEET test center located in Kannur district in Kerala, where the female candidate told the media persons, after attempting the exam, that she was forced by the officials at the center to remove her top innerwear before sitting in the exam.Several other shameful complaints also came into limelight where one candidate was asked to remove the pockets and metal buttons from the jeans she was wearing.
