UP Government to follow Board's decision on Marks Moderation
While CBSE has not declared the results of the board exams 2017, certain state boards like Rajasthan, Karnataka and Punjab which already have declared results are now in fix as CBSE has decided not to scrap off the marks moderation policy this year.In case some other boards such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Haryana, it is still not clear whether moderation policy was followed by these boards or not.According to the sources, CBSE will declare the results for class 10 and 12 board exams 2017 on May 28 2017, on the official website of the board at cbse.nic.in.Words of chairperson of National Progressive Schools Conference "If CBSE decides to follow the policy, then students from state boards will suffer in undergraduate admissions as they will not meet the cut offs," said Ashok Pandey. Meanwhile, one of the major state boards of India, UP, is yet to announce the results of the board exams and said that it will follow the decision of CBSE in the case of marks moderation policy.Words form the officials of other boardsPunjab boardPunjab School Education Board (PSEB) chairman, S Balbir Singh Dhol, said, "We are just examining the situation and contents of the court order. A decision will be taken soon after wide consultations".Rajasthan BoardBL Chaudhury, Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education's (RBSE) chairman, said "We never followed moderation so the CBSE decision is not likely to impact prospects of our students positively or negatively".
