For higher studies students should migrate in reverse direction: Pranab Mukherjee



Despite all the hardships being faced by the legal H-1B visa holders due to Trump administration in power, a large number of Indian students still have a dream of working abroad, with IT sector being a major hit.President raised the concern over large number of students who visit abroad for higher studies President Pranab Mukherjee said that efforts are being made in order to make sure that this immigration is in reverse direction.He gave this statement while he was in Punjab attending convocation ceremony of a private university in Phagwara. President said that many students go to countries such as Australia and New Zealand for higher studies as he stated the fact that our civilization is a product of our diversity and long history. More about the report: Mukherjee stated the fact the India was once the leader in higher education and the government is making efforts to reclaim that status.He also appealed students to work towards the progress and peace of the nation.Punjab Governor, VP Singh, was also present on the occasion and he urged students to lead a life of purpose and do all the good they can.During the convocation, 38 students were awarded gold medals by the President.
