25 Medical Colleges and 6 AIIMS will be established: Yogi's government poll promise

Now aiming to fulfill the promises made by the Yogi's government in the run-up assemble polls, the government has started working on the setting six AIIMS and 25 new Medical Colleges in the state.CM Adityanath said that keeping the population of the state and health conditions in the mind it is the need which government is working day and night to fulfill.The proposed institutions will be ready in next five years. Currently there are 600 private colleges and 13 government engineering colleges in the state.Minister for Technical and Medical Education Minister Ashutosh Tondon Gopalji told PTI, "We promised to open six AIIMS and 25 new medical colleges in the state. We have started working in this direction. Once we shortlist areas for setting up these institutions, we will send a proposal to the Centre through the Chief Minister.''When asked about the poor quality of education being imparted to the children in educational institutes, he said "Our priority is to improve the quality of education in all institutions. For this, we are focusing on filling up vacant teaching posts. I have directed to fill up 500 vacant posts of teacher before the start of new session."Other initiatives of the government The government is planning to hold a 'rozgar mela' (job fair). These fairs will began in coming three months which will help in ensuring that students of management and engineering get employed.Apart from providing free Wi-Fi on college campuses the government is also working on establishing e-libraries which will keep the student knowledge up to date.Another important step to be taken by the government is to enhance the infrastructure of the polytechnic institute and to provide all students the hostel facility. When asked about the students facing difficulty in getting jobs after graduating from these institutes Tondon said " Once quality is ensured, the students will also be able to get good jobs in the market."
