Admission in Delhi University to be done on the basis of cut-off marks



University of Delhi has announced that it will not be conducting any entrance exam for the admission to be in the undergraduate courses. However, earlier, DU was considering the possibility of conducting the entrance exam. According to the latest reports, DU has informed the Union Human Resources Development (HRD) Ministry that it will be admitting the students based on the old cut-off based system. Statements from HRD: "DU has informed that it would continue with the admission process which was followed for various undergraduate courses last year. It is not introducing admission through entrance test in any course this year and there are no fresh guidelines in this regard," a senior HRD Ministry official told. But there will be entrance exams for the courses mentioned below: Bachelor with Honours of Management Studies (BMS)BA (Hons) in Business Economics (BBE)Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)Bachelor of Technology (BTech)BA Humanities and Social SciencesBachelor of Elementary EducationBachelor in Multimedia and Mass CommunicationBachelor of Science in Physical Education In January, it was reported that DU is mulling over the idea of doing away with the cut-off system, but for now they are relying on the traditional cut-off based system and now the DU is starting to start the admission process in the third week of the April, which is a month ahead of its regular schedule.
