Urdu in NEET exam: Government not biased against Muslims

The center managed to refute all allegations before Supreme Court on the issue of not including Urdu as medium for NEET language. It was alleged that because of government's prejudice and biased nature against Muslims it is not including Urdu as one of the language for the NEET exam. In an affidavit the ministry of health and government said, "the Centre took the decision to allow students to take the exam in one of the ten language — Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Odiya, Bengali, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada and Assamese — after holding consultations with various state governments." However, the proposal to include URDU in NEET exam was made after the decision was taken by the Center. The reply was filed in response to the students' organization report in which they has alleged that the center left the URDU deliberately as medium for the NEET exam because it is biased against the Muslim community."It is deliberate and intentional on the part of the health ministry to not include Urdu as a medium for NEET exam because of the discriminatory perception of the government functionaries of viewing the language not as a part of cultural heritage and composite culture of India but as a language associated with Muslims against which the government is prejudiced and biased," Student Islamic Organization had said.
