IIM Bangalore to speed up the delivery of management education in digital format with its new case Lab

A unique case recording lab was inaugurated by the Chairperson of IIM Bangalore along with the institute Director Prof G. Raghuram at IIM-B, which will help the institute to give a boost to its contribution in the domain of digital learning. The lab has been created by the funding support from Mitsubishi Corporation India Limited and Metal One Corporation India Limited, and the lab will be used to record the live case discussions. The main of the institute is to digital repository for teaching which can also be used to teach other students. IIM-B has offered many MOOC programs in the past and more than 5 lakh global learners have benefited from them in various specialized management subjects. Videos are the backbone when it comes to delivering the MOOC courses  and the new lab will help the institute to strengthen its technical capability to produce world class MOOC courses. Inaugurating the Case Recording Lab, Dr Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw said, "The country needs to leverage MOOCs on a massive scale to enable millions of Indian youth access high-quality education. IIM-B has taken great strides in the area of making management education accessible through digital platforms. This lab is another instance of the institute's continued focus on technology innovation to make education effective    and far-reaching". In his opening remarks, MCI Chairman and Managing Director Eisuke Shiozaki, said, "It is a great pleasure to be associated with IIM Bangalore and with the project which will allow education to reach to millions of students across the globe."It may be noted that IIM-B is one of the leading partner of the edX platform.
