NEET exam to contain uniform questions in regional papers from 2018

Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar made a big announcement on Saturday which will affect the fortunes of the candidates who will appear for the NEET exam to be held in 2018.Putting an end to the fears of the al the candidates regarding the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, Javadekar said that from next year NEET exam in the regional languages will merely be a translation of the original question paper in English. This year, CBSE provided candidates with different question in the NEET 2017 exam which were set in regional languages. Candidates who appeared for the NEET exam in regional languages said that the exam in the regional language was more difficult than its counterpart in Hindi and English. When HRD ministry asked the CBSE about the different sets of question paper it said that it was because of the security reasons and for translation large number of languages would have involved. The HRD ministry appears to have shot down CBSE's argument. "From next year, there will be mere translation of papers so that such problems do not arise," Javadekar said. He was speaking at a symposium here. He also made it clear that any decision about the common engineering entrance exam on the lines of NEET exam has not been taken yet."We are waiting to see the final result of NEET.
