Third allotment result for JoSAA released; new counseling schedule now available

After getting the permission from the Supreme Court, the results of third seat allotment has been declared by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) at jossaa.nic.in and the new counseling schedule has also been released by the IIT for the engineering aspirants. Earlier, the apex court had issued a stay on the counseling and admission process of the IITs after some students filed petition which challenged the IITs decision of giving bonus marks to all the students who appeared in JEE advanced 2017.The third round of acceptance will end on the July 13 at 1 pm.According to the old counseling schedule, the third allocation of round had to begin on July 7. Total number of allocation rounds for seat the allotment, as proposed by the IITs, are 7. Take the printout of the same if needed. A total number of 36000 seats are available in the 23 IITs, 31 NITs and 23 IIITs and 20 government funded technical institutes. The online registration facility was started on June 15.
