Three students caught trying to take admission into DU from fake board
Three cases of fake admissions recently surfaced in the DU's Sri Aurobindo College (evening). As soon as the matter came into the light, the authorities from the college reported the same to police. Three students were trying to get admission into the college and their mark-sheets claimed that they had done their secondary schooling from the 'Board of Higher Secondary Education (Delhi)'. All the students filled the form and were in the process of Document verification. “It was during the final verification process that the machine showed that the documents were not genuine. First, there is no such board. Then, as we were trying to verify their claim, two of the aspirants ran away. One of them was taken to the principal, but he also ran away, leaving the documents,” said Angad Tiwari, a member of the collegeʼs admission grievance committee.Little do they that Delhi does not have its own education board. However, the website for the board claimed that it is an autonomous organization working under the government of India.
