Super 30 now comes to Uttarakhand



Taking inspiration from Anand Kumar's super 30 in Bihar and its recent success now, Uttrarakhand government is ready to launch its own version of super 30 in order to improve the higher education in the state. Super 30 in Bihar coaches meritorious students for the IIT-JEE exam who are from humble background and cannot afford expensive coaching. Not only this, but also the government of Uttarakhand is introducing a similar facility for civil service aspirants, who come from humble background- Higher Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said. Along with all this, the minister also announced a third scheme for the postgraduates under which 100 meritorious students will be selected every year and government will provide them with the financial assistance in pursuing their PhDs. The minister also said that the government is taking substantial steps in order to improve the standard of higher education I and in the state and told that singing of National Anthem has been made compulsory in every college of the state. While giving the awards at the function to the top scorers, Chief Minister said "every educated person after achieving success in life should pay their debt to the society by educating people who cannot afford it. Uttarakhand has 89 percent literacy rate which means 11 percent are still illiterate. Meritorious students can make a contribution towards this".
