Delhi schools and offices to observe holidays on Children's Day



Here is a good news for the office goers and especially children of the capital city; this year on children's day, which is celebrated on the birth anniversary of the Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, the national capital will observe holiday in schools and offices.Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said "November 14 would be a holiday for all government offices and schools and directions to this effect would be issued to private schools soon."This year government is planning to organize cultural programs and other events for the children at more than 100 locations in the city.Addressing the media, Sisodia said "Children Happiness Festival would be organized at over 100 locations across the city on November 14, reported Indo-Asian News Service."The happiness festival will feature sports, arts, and cultural programs and activities in which children can participate.The minister also said "the government would facilitate locations for the festival and different groups, including NGOs, residents' welfare societies and individuals would organize different activities for the festival. We want to send a message to the children that Delhi enjoys with your enjoyment."In order to encourage the participation of the people and children, schools and offices have been given holidays so that people with their children can attend the program.
