Exams of Anna and Chennai University postponed due to rains for indefinite time
Scheduled to be held from Friday, several institutions including Anna University have postposed their semester exams for indefinite period of time due to heavy rains in Chennai.Registrar of the Anna University said that for now exams have been postponed and the new dates for the exams will be announced in due time.The University of Madras and its constituent colleges have also postponed the exams due to rains. According to the reports, Ethiraj College for Women and Loyola College has also postponed their exams for now. Exams in the Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University have also been postponed the registrar said that the new dates will be announced soon.Since October 31, schools and colleges have been shut down due to rains and now they have also been closed in Chennai, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts. From the last few days, Chennai and its suburb have been experiencing the monsoon showers. Due to heavy rain last night, some of the IT companies located in IT corridor allowed their employees to work from home.Last year also due to heavy rains many institutions had to postpone their exams. The fresh date sheets for this year exams will soon be released by the respective institutes.
