According to the government officials, the amount which schools owed to the parents is about INR 300 crores.President of Action Committee Unaided Recognized Private Schools, S K Bhattacharya said, schools will respond to the show cause notice.“There are two types of schools— a large number of schools have grievances and are not satisfied with the order, and want to challenge it. Then there are some who have excess money, which they will refund,” he said.“But government cannot take over schools unless and until there is substantial proof against them… This is not a simple matter,” he added.
