Mumbai University result crisis: Mumbai High Court asked the university about handling the situation



The Bombay high court on Monday asked the Mumbai University and the state government to inform the court about how they are planning to deal with the delay in the results of the university. A bench headed by Justice Anoop V Mohta was hearing the petitions filed by the students related to the matter. One law student filed a petition in which he is seeking compensation of INR 10 lakh because of the loss of educational and employment opportunities because of the delay in the results. Senior counsel M M Vashi, who appeared for the students who wants to apply for the LLB course said that the results have not been declared till date upon which university said that it will declare all the results latest by Thursday.“Seats in all good law colleges will be filed up and students from here will have to apply for admissions in the third round,” he said. Justice Mohta said: “The presumption is that everything works properly. But the situation is beyond the control of anyone. Give notice to the state government and Mumbai University. They must come forward and will have to tackle the situation”.
