Independence Day celebrations: CBSE asked schools to go easy on students

With the Independence Day coming closer, CBSE has asked its affiliated schools to celebrate the auspicious day without causing any undue strain on the students. A senior CBSE official said that all the affiliated schools have asked to celebrate the Independence day along with the 75th anniversary of the Quit India Movement to instill the sense of patriotism in the students. “All the schools have been asked to organize the national festival of Independence in the most befitting manner while integrating the activities in their daily routine without causing undue strain to the students,” the official said. “While students of class 11 and 12 will participate in an online quiz contest which will allow the students to revisit the rich and glorious history of India, students from junior classes will participate in painting competition on independence movement,” the official said. Starting Wednesday, various activities and preparations are being done by the schools in order to celebrate the occasion as the upsurge of New India.
