Registrations for the Journalism course at the DU begins



The application process for getting admissions into the Delhi University's School of Journalism has started. The university is offering five year integrated course in Journalism- Bachelor of Journalism (BA) and Master of Journalism.Students are requested to submit their application forms well before the last date of the submission which is September 8 in order to avoid any the last minute hassle.The entrance exam will be conducted by the university on September 17 in two sessions, for the students who will opt English, timings will be 9am to 11am and for the students opting Hindi, the exam will be from 2pm to 4pm.The classes will begin from September 26.If, there are any vacant seats after three years (if, candidate decides to leave with the degree of Bachelor of Journalism), university will conduct the entrance exam for the students for the Post Graduation course.Registration fee for the examRegistration fee for the students from general category is INR 500 and for the students from SC/ST/PwD category is INR 250.EligibilityStudents with 50 percent aggregate marks in the class 12, irrespective of the stream, can apply for the course and for the PG course, a graduation degree from a recognized university is a requirement.SyllabusThe syllabus includes teaching of the four foreign languages (French, Spanish, Chinese and Arabic) and two regional languages (Tamil and Bengali) and students have to select one foreign and one regional language.
