NEET 2017: Supreme Court issued stay order on issuing 5 marks in the NEET exam
The Supreme Court stayed the order passed by the Allahabad High Court which directed the CBSE to issue 5 marks to all the candidates of the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 and revise the merit list due to wrong question.Allahabad High Court passed the order on August 10 after a petitioner appealed the court requesting that the authorities grant 5 extra marks to the students. NEET candidate Saumitra Ginodia found that she was awarded 4 marks in a question instead of five before finding that there was a mistake in the question. Upon listening to the petition, the Court ordered the board to grant marks to all the similar candidates and revise the entire merit list for the NEET 2017 exam.In this regard CBSE filed a special leave application before the Supreme Court which then issued stay order on the Allahabad High Court orders and asked the high court not to entertain any petitions in this regard.
