MU's another mishap as it struggles to co-relate answer sheets with the students

As if, it was not already bad enough that MU was struggling to declare the results on time and now, the university is having a difficult time as it is finding it difficult to co-relate students with their answer sheets. Even after the completion of much of the assessment work, reconciling the answer sheets to the students in form of data points such as roll numbers, seat numbers, and barcodes is taking longer. The university has completed the assessment of more than 84% of the answer sheets and yet, the results of only 10 percent of the students have been declared by the university.The difficulty arises because this year two different agencies are in place to scan the papers. The measure has been adopted by the university to make sure that the answer books are not tampered with.While the university does the reconciliation every year, the involvement of two agencies this year as made the process more tedious.“A large number of students have entered their seat numbers incorrectly. It is taking time to streamline that process,” said an official.“For those students whose answer sheets are not reconciled in time, the results are kept reserved,” added the official and he further assured that the results of the students will not be mixed up.
