The reserve bank of India has released an official notification under which it is inviting application from candidates to fill the 623 posts of assistants in its various offices. The last date to submit the online application for the same is November 10, 2017. To select the eligible candidates, the bank will organize a country wide competitive exam in two phases-- pre and mains followed by Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The tentative exam for the pre exam is November 27 and November 28 while the mains exam will be held on December 20. Only those candidates who will pass the pre-exam will be allowed to appear for the mains exam. The pre exam is of 100 marks and will include questions from English language, Numerical ability and Reasoning. Candidates will have 60 minutes to attempt this paper. The main exam will be of 200 marks and will have separate tests on reasoning (30 minutes), English language (30 minutes), numerical ability (30 minutes), general awareness (25 minutes) and computer knowledge (20 minutes).The pay scale for the post of assistant is 13150-34900.Eligibility criteriaEducation- Candidate should have a bachelor degree in any discipline and must have scored minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate and must have knowledge of word processing in PC.Age limit- The age limit for candidate must be between 20 to 28 years as on 1 October, 2017. However, there is age relaxation for SC/ST.
