Coaching academies for civil services exam to be set up against Tamil Nadu: Education Minister



Seeing the popularity of the civil services exams among the students, Tamil Nadu government is planning to set up coaching academies across the state for the students who wish to prepare for the civil services exam. The announcement was made by the education minister K A Sengottaiyan."To help those appearing for Indian Administrative Service (IAS) or Indian Police service (IPS) examinations, the state education department will soon start coaching academies in all the 32 districts," said Sengottaiyan at a function near Thindal village. He added that from this initiative, candidates from poor and middle class backgrounds will benefit the most. The initiative will give them a means to practice and secure good ranks in theses examinations which are conducted by the organizations like the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) or the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) on annual basis. Combined Civil Services Examination 2017 for the group 2 A employee was conducted by the TNPSC recently and 1953 vacancies were released by the government from 41 different sectors. The written test for the same was held on August 6.This year, UPSC is conducting the civil services exams from October 28 to November 2, 2017. Candidates who are appearing on the exam should not that the admit cards are available for download on the official website of the UPSC.
