Assam Chief Minister stresses on the need for quality education

Sarbananda Sonowal, Chief Minister of Assam, stressed on the need of quality education as it helps one to become able, strong and also helps the society in becoming strong.He said that the education is guiding force for individual and society therefore; the government has introduced 'Gunotsav' for quality education in which public representatives and government officers have been involved which will evaluate the quality of education. "Education is a means by which people below the poverty line can achieve success by acquiring necessary skills and the Assam government is committed to provide quality education to all", he said at a function organized to provide scholarship to 100 students belonging to tea garden and other areas at Dibrugarh last evening. He further said that 60,000 schools in the nation have shown inclination to ensure the quality education. He also urged the teachers to help students in molding their behavior towards the cleanliness of the nation as it will help in ensuring the success of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that disciplined, punctual, dedicated and obedient students can help in the creation of strong and good society.
