China's first yoga college is inviting applications for masters in the course

China's first yoga college, the India- China Yoga College is inviting the applications for the new master's program.Students can sign up for the three year course. The first two years of the course will be completed in Kunming, capital of Chinaʼs Yunnan Province and the final year will be completed in India, said Lu Fang, deputy dean of India-China Yoga College. Upon completing the course successfully, students will receive degree/diplomas from both Yunnan Minzu University and Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana in Bengaluru. The PG course in diploma will cover- asanas (poses), pranayama (breathing), yoga therapy and physiology.To help the students overcoming their language barrier during the course in India, the college will also offer lessons on Indian culture as well as Hindi and Sanskrit.The college, ICYC is jointly set up by the Yunnan Minzu University and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations in 2015. In China, yoga has become immensely popular and millions of people are taking it all over the country. International yoga day is celebrated on June 21.
