Punjab University ranked number 4 in India under CWUR rankings
Centre for World Universities Rankings (CWUR) has released its rankings for this year according to which Punjab University is among top 2% universities of the world. According to the rankings released PU stands at number 4 in India and globally at 554 among 1000 universities of the world.DU stands at the top of the national ranking and among the universities of the world its global rank is 397. In global ranking DU is followed by IIT which stands at the 399 in the world ranking. IISC stands third in the national ranking and 470 in world ranking. “Universities, Institutions and IISC have their unique strengths and get different scores as per different criterion and parameters. But, it is a matter of satisfaction that PU is regularly being ranked among the top universities of the country irrespective of the parameters,” said Prof M Rajiv Lochan, director, Internal Quality Assurance Cell. He further added that the rankings to the universities have been assigned based on several parameters such as quality education, alumni employment, quality of faculty and so on.
