New changed pattern of the Maharashtra CET 2017-18 exam



There are few changes which have been announced by the Maharashtra's Directorate of Technical Education and will be implemented from the 2018-19.DTE said that these changes have been introduced in order to bring the level of exam at par with the JEE examination.As these changes will be implemented for the first time in the exam there are airs of nervousness and unpredictability regarding the exam.These tests are conducted by the board to determine the eligibility of the candidates for BE, BTech, BPharma and PharmD courses offered by the state.The exam is conducted once every year and till now it was based on the syllabus of class 12.Changes in the exam pattern Earlier the exam used to be based entirely on the syllabus of class 12 of HSC Board of Maharashtra but now syllabus of class 11 has also been added to the exams. The exam will contain 20 percent of the questions from syllabus of class 11.The questions based on physics, chemistry and mathematics will be more application based and the questions of biology examinations will be at par with the questions in the NEET exam.A total of 50 questions out of 250 questions will be from the syllabus of class 12. Each subject will have a weightage of marks 50, except for the math as it will have the weightage of the marks 100. New topics to be covered for the examPhysicsForce, Measurements, Ray optics, Refraction of light, Scalars and Vectors, Friction in Solids and liquidsChemistryBasic concepts of chemistry, States of matter (gases and liquids), Surface chemistry, Nature of Chemical Bond, Hydrogen, Redox Reactions, s-block elements, Basic Principles of Organic Chemistry MathematicsTrigonometric Functions and Trigonometric Functions of Compound Angles, Factorization, Straight Line, Circle and Conics, Sets, Relations, Functions, Probability, Sequence and SeriesBiologyBiochemistry of Cell, Water Relations and Mineral Nutrition, Development and Plant Growth, Animal Tissues, Human Nutrition and Human Respiration.
