Admit cards for UPTET 2017 expected to be released tomorrow
The exam for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2017 will begin from October 15 and the admit cards for the same are expected to be out tomorrow. This year, more than 10 lakh candidates applied for the exam and the applications of more than 32,000 students was rejected by the exam authority. As a result, 9.76 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the UPTET 2017 exam.Among the application accepted 3,49,192 applicants are for post of primary teachers and 6,27,568 applicants are for the higher primary.According to Dr. Sutta Singh, Secretary Examination Regulatory Authority, NIC will determine the centers for exam in all the 75 districts. This year shiksha mitras (ad hoc teachers) are also allowed to appear for the Teachers Eligibility Test and those who will qualify the test will be eligible for the post of teachers. Also, these teachers will be given additional 2.5 marks for the each year of experience. However, the upper limit for awarding the marks for experience is 25 marks and these marks will be awarded when they will appear for the assistant teachers' recruitment examinations, after qualifying the TET exam. The answer keys for the exam will be released two days after the exam i.e. on October 17 and candidates can submit the objection by October 21.Questions in the exam will be of objective nature.
