In a relief to students, IIT Guwahati has extended the registration date for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018. Now the last date for the registration is October 9. Applicants can register for the GATE 2018 exam by October 9, 9pm.According to the official notice on the website--gate.iitg.ac.in, the mandatory verification of email address and mobile number has also been removed from the application process. Any request for making corrections in the application will be entertained only when applicant will send a request email to the zonal GATE office. The email of the candidate must be registered with the GOAPS for sending the request email. GATE 2018 is scheduled to be held on February 3-4 and February 10-11, 2018. The GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) started accepting the applications on September 1.The application fee for the women and for the SC/ST/PwD category candidates is INR 750 and INR 1500 for all other candidates. For international candidates the application fee is $50.There is no age limit for GATE 2018 and the applicant should be graduating BE, BTech, BPharmacy, BArch, BSc (Research), BS, MA, MSc, MCA, Int MSc or Int BSMS in 2018. If this is not the case then they should be completing their Int ME, MTech (post BSc) or a dual degree after 10+2 by 2019-20.The admit cards for the exam will be available from January 5, 2018 onwards.
